Webkinz "$2 Deluxe Membership" in webkinz front page

In the last few days Webkinz front page is showing the following picture:
 

First  of all I believe this and many other ads Ganz has are not legal in many countries See:
Wikipedia Advertising to children

 Even if they are legal the ethics of this is definitely questionable (The answer to my opinion is clear: it is not ethical)

In addition this Ad is misleading  and doesn't clarify that you don't get the gift box which is one of the biggest deluxe memberships benefits.

Since I opened this blog you can imagine I don't like the fact that Ganz decided to retire it's family deluxe membership. I am not the only one here are links to some of  the posts I found regarding this. Feel free to add more links in comments.

Note:  Ganz published this change together with a new inferior type of 2$ per month account and the title “Deluxe Membership just got easier” some people have positive feedback. I agree that this second rate membership is good for those who don’t by estore items or can’t afford 3.75$ per month on webkinz but 2$ is ok. however the title is quite misleading and it took time for people to realize it.

Why I opend this blog

I opened this blog in order to protest against the fact that Ganz retired Webkinz Deluxe family membership without any notice at the end of April 2010.

In Future post I will explain why this bothers me and why other things Ganz is doing related to Webkinz bothers me
